Chris Gunzel

Chris Gunzel is a Liaison for MedStar Physicians' Billing Services. He’s worked for MedStar for 15 years with experience in multiple areas, including finance, revenue cycle, and professional billing. He earned a BS in Healthcare Administration and an MBA.

Since the inception of the local MGUH PFACQS in September, 2014, Chris has been an active Associate member, Co-Vice Chair, and Co-Chair of the group. He was recently nominated to serve a second term as Co-Vice Chair and Co-Chair. Chris loves engaging with this group on PFACQS projects, and often feels it is the most rewarding and invigorating work he’s involved with. His interests include patient and family engagement, open and honest communication, and development opportunities for leaders in patient safety
